About Us
The Soul of Europe is an international non-profit association (AISBL) chaired by Patrick Van den Eede, with headquarters at 26, rue de la Loi, 1040 Brussels.
- Initially, the association's vocation was to commemorate the signing of the Treaty of Rome each year by organizing a large-scale concert. Over time, its scope of action has broadened to address issues of general interest, both in Europe and Africa.
- Aware of contemporary challenges and keen to promote constructive dialogue, The Soul of Europe works to strengthen cooperation between peoples by fostering synergies with other organizations, such as Civil Diplomacy and Prométhée, the latter having conducted an in-depth study of the priority needs of the African continent.

01The European story
is a polyphonic and tumultuous song, rooted in the history of each member country, from the frozen lakes of the Far North to the warm shores of the Mediterranean, and that is why it is still being built and written...
02But the global Covid pandemic
and then the war in Ukraine have given a new European impetus, which the Soul of Europe intends to support with contributions in the fields of culture and the environment, because the former brings peoples, and the second helps to preserve the future of our children.
03For nearly a century
humanity has refused to listen to the alarm cries of scientists and explorers, and today, the massive extinction of biodiversity and the threats to the environment are visible to us in all their dramatic scale and make us aware of our own vulnerability.
Hippocrate's Wish: A doctor for everyone!
The objective of this programme would have pleased Hippocrates as it aims to ensure that everyone can benefit from medicine, which is far from being the case today with the ever-increasing number of people who have no social security, but also with inflation which no longer allows a large proportion of the others to pay all the extras for doctors and specialists (20% of the population).
Today, we have decided to combine this programme with a similar one designed for Africa. Its name is ‘Promethée’.
